Like the colloid mill, the high-speed dispersing and homogenizing emulsifier is also a centrifugal device, so its flow rate is not constant, and it changes greatly with the change of material viscosity, outlet resistance and feed pressure. Compared with colloid mill, its advantages are:a) The rotor is very light, suitable for large diameter and high speed, so that it is easy to make large flow and high power equipment. B) The meshing size of the rotating stator is very short, the material passing resistance is small, and the energy consumption is reduced. c) The rotating stators can be easily connected in series, so that the material can be used multiple times when passing through the equipment, thereby enhancing the thinning effect, while the colloid mill has only one pair of rotating stators. d) It relies on the combined action of high-frequency pressure wave and slit shear force, so the stator has little effect on the thinning (homogenization) effect under general wear. e) It can produce strong self-priming capacity and is easy to connect with the pipeline for continuous operation. f) The assembly and disassembly of the rotating stator is more convenient than that of the colloid mill. However, when dealing with hard large particle materials, the effect of the equipment is obviously not as good as that of the colloid mill.
